Associate Broker Pam Peterson Pledges Donation from Each Sale to One Love Animal Rescue

Associate Broker Pam Peterson has found a way to combine her love of showcasing some of Savannah’s finest homes with her passion for rescuing, fostering and adopting homeless animals.

Beginning in January 2022, Pam will donate $100 from each of her real estate transactions to One Love Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit rescue organization helping abandoned, neglected, abused and unwanted pets by partnering with shelters, rescue groups and the community to facilitate the adoption of these animals into permanent and loving homes. The funds will support the volunteer-run animal rescue and help cover medical expenses, food, spay and neuter programs and much more.

“After getting to know One Love Animal Rescue and witnessing first-hand all they do for Savannah’s homeless pets, I’ve pledged to donate $100 from every house I sell to the organization as a small way to help support their rescue mission,” said Pam.

A dedicated volunteer and foster mom for One Love Animal Rescue, Pam first became aware of the organization and its mission through a chance encounter with a skinny, weak dog she spotted on the side of the highway. Pam and her wife, Susan, brought the dog home and contacted One Love Animal Rescue. The rescue helped Pam and Susan become foster parents to the dog and covered 100% of the costs for his care, including food and medical expenses⁣⁣.

Pam and Susan quickly realized they couldn’t let him go and decided to make Karl part of the family or “mini-farm,” which includes one pig, several chickens, rescue dogs and one cat.

Through this pledge, Pam hopes to help more animals in need of adoption find their forever homes and encourage locals to get involved via volunteering, donations and adoptions.

“One Love Animal Rescue has given me the opportunity — through both fostering and fundraising — to meet the ongoing need of homeless animals,” said Pam. “It’s been a joy to learn about this incredible organization and actively participate in their mission.”⁣
