CRAIG MEYER
SALES ASSOCIATE

Craig is a Savannah native educated in Savannah Public Schools and Armstrong State College. He worked his way through Armstrong State College while in the employ of Neal Hornstein, a local real estate appraiser/investor and real estate company owner. His education was interrupted with a tour of duty in the Georgia Air National Guard, serving as a Medical Technician.

His initial entry into the full time business world began at age 21 with Mortgage Origination and subsequently Managerial positions in the mortgage, and real estate finance industry. In 1977, he earned his first real estate sales license and began a 12-year period of residential building and developing residential and commercial properties. He served as President of the Home Builders Association of Savannah in 1980 and the Home Builders Association of Georgia in 1985. He also served a term as a Commissioner of the  Metropolitan Planning Commission of Savannah/Chatham County, and testified as to the effects of high interest rates on the home buying public before a Senate Select Committee headed by Georgia Senator Sam Nunn in 1981.

Meyer earned his Georgia Brokers license in 1990, but surrendered his real estate licenses as required, in the 1990’s as he managed Mortgage Offices for SouthTrust Bank, Wachovia, First Horizon Bank and SunTrust until retirement from the banking field in 2018. At that time, he re-qualified for Georgia and South Carolina real estate sales licenses and began actively working with his wife, Cindy Meyer, an Associate Broker with Seabolt Real Estate.

Cindy and Craig reside on Tybee Island where they are active in civic and affairs cultural affairs. Craig was 2011 Commodore of Savannah Yacht Club, and chaired the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Weekend of Events surrounding the 2012 Sailing Regatta. He is a current member of the Savannah and Georgia Association of Realtors.
